2026-04-27 | 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM (GMT+01:00) Paris
Informations
PACCT, in collaboration with the Access Economy Alliance, a european network supporting the transition from ownership to access‑based and service‑oriented business models is organizing a new webinar dedicated to the opportunities and challenges of B2C Product‑as‑a‑Service (PaaS) models in urban contexts.
Cities are playing an increasingly important role in the transition from ownership‑based consumption to usage‑based services. This webinar brings together companies and public actors to explore how B2C PaaS models interact with urban environments.
The discussion will feature perspectives from:
- Southwark Council, a London local authority engaged in urban issues, public services, and supporting the development of new usage‑based models within the city.
- Poppins, a B2C company developing access‑based services that enable people to share and use everyday products rather than own them.
- Bax Company, a consulting company experimenting with circular and service‑oriented business models,
Program :
- The discussion will start by setting the context, highlighting current consumption patterns and systemic challenges such as under‑used products, waste volumes, and the limits of ownership‑based models.
- It will then move to B2C PaaS solutions in practice, with concrete examples from companies developing access‑based services and a city perspective from London, illustrated through initiatives such as the Library of Things and the conditions that enable these models to emerge and succeed.
- Finally, speakers will share their views on the key challenges and future outlook for B2C Product‑as‑a‑Service, addressing operational constraints, scale‑up questions, and the role cities can play in supporting access‑based models.
